Normalized Rankings as of 1/25

Do you believe in miracles? For the first time since the first week, Tommy does not sit alone in 1st place. Of course, my hold in several categories is pretty tenuous, so Tommy will probably be back in the lead next week.

The rest of the league continued to hold pretty much to form. Htown and Shake switched spots for the first change in actual places in about a month.

Amazingly, the overall order remained virtually unchanged (just me and Devo swapping spots) making it almost identical from the one posted 2 weeks ago. Also, 3 teams did not even change points in the past week, so we are definitely getting some stability in our rankings.

But, don't expect that to stay that way, there are several categories with people very close in ranking and I expect we'll start to see some shifting as people come back from injury and with NBA trade season now underway after the big 8 player trade between Indiana and Golden State.

Strange in that this week we had a bunch of people adding/subtracting points, but the overall order actually stayed the same. This week CH added himself into the top tier as he is now within striking distance of Tommy and has a relatively healthy team.

Of the bottom 5 teams, only LES gained any ground and only 0.5 position points at that.

Also of note: the second trade of our league went through:

Shake gets:

Joe Johnson (pts, 3's, steals)
Larry Hughes (pts, steals)
Jorge Garbojosa (%'s, 3's, assists, a/t) - just back from injury

FOR

Raymond Felton (assists, a/t, ft%)
Gerald Wallace (steals, blocks) - injured

The trade helps both teams in areas of weakness, so both teams could see a small bump in their standings.

Wow, how many injuries can the NBA have this year...and to key players. The current injury list makes me think we're still in NFL-fantasyland right now. Anyway, some teams are better equipped to deal with their injuries than others and it is showing.

Tommy ended his skid of losing points per week and still sits atop the leaderboard. Devo continued his ascent and they are now in a two-team horse race until somebody else decides to make a move. My team fell from the top tier into the muddled middle after the Krstic and Yao injuries left me depleted at center.

Htown was the big mover up the board this week as the team was somehow able to avoid major injury, which helps.

GC and LES were unequipped to deal with any hits to their starting lineup and took major tumbles as a result as they fell even farther back from the pack.
